Vocational Training Centre
ARC Vocational Training Centre (Arc VTC) Established in 2017, Arc VTC was initially created to support children under ARC’s care who could not continue in conventional schools. Since then, it has expanded to offer a wide range of vocational courses aimed at empowering underprivileged youth with practical skills that enhance economic independence and community development.
Course Offerings
Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
The ICT program caters to young individuals who have completed their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams and are awaiting results before pursuing further education. It offers an opportunity for these individuals to become computer literate. Additionally, the program is open to others interested in acquiring computer skills. The ICT course is structured into three shifts, each lasting two hours per day, over a two-month period. Arc VTC also provides Cyber Café services to the community.
Dressmaking and Fashion
Design
This department focuses on training young individuals in dressmaking skills, production of dresses for the local community, school uniforms, and reusable sanitary towels. The program aims to equip students with practical skills in fashion design and dressmaking.
Hairdressing and Beauty
Therapy
The Hairdressing department offers training in various hairdressing techniques such as braiding, plaiting, deadlock installation, and hair cutting. Additionally, it operates a well-equipped salon to serve the neighboring community, providing hands-on experience for the students.
Electrical Installation and
Solar PV
Students in this department receive training in house wiring, motor rewinding, and electrical maintenance. The program includes practical learning through wiring contracts obtained by the department, offering students valuable hands-on experience.
Carpentry and Joinery
Arc VTC’s Carpentry and Joinery department boasts a fully equipped workshop with both hand tools and heavy machinery, capable of producing a wide range of wooden furniture. It offers training from basic to advanced levels and serves as a skill-upgrading platform for carpenters unfamiliar with heavy machinery. The department collaborates with a carpentry production unit to manufacture high-quality furniture for public sale.

Leap Learning introduces an innovative learning methodology that utilizes educational and hands-on games to teach learners reading, writing, and counting skills. This approach is implemented in collaboration with local schools, benefiting pupils as young as those in play groups, and is also applied in adult education courses such as Communications and Entrepreneurship.
