for Change (ARC)
We are a registered non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Majiwa, Bondo Sub-County, Siaya County, in the western region of Kenya. We are a humanitarian, non-political, and non-religious organization committed to empowering communities through education, social enterprise, and child protection.
Our History
ARC was originally founded in the mid-1980s as a community-based organization (CBO) known as Ang’ila Rapul Organization (ARO). Initially established as a health facility, ARO expanded its focus to meet the evolving needs of the community. In 2005, the organization transitioned from a CBO to an NGO and was officially registered as Action Resort for Change.
